The top surface is in the Heather Tweed fabric with the border and underneath in Pampas.

As a clearance item it cannot be returned for any reason other than a manufacturing fault.

Our top of the range Pocket Sprung Futon Mattress has all the advantages of a traditional pocket sprung bed mattress with the added benefits of a space saving, cost effective futon mattress.

Handmade to order in our Devon workshop by a team of local master craftsman we’ve designed our Pocket Sprung Futon mattress for Three-seat futon frames and solid or sprung slatted bed bases alike.

With a 2-inch Pocket Sprung unit nestled between four layers of luxuriously soft cotton felt and two layers of the highest quality British wool, this is our softest futon mattress. The spring unit helps to recirculate the air through the fillings allowing them to rebound time and time again, offering longevity and durability.

Available in a wide variety of fabrics we’ve opted to use only chemical free fillings, moving away from the use of foams, bleaches, adhesives and Fire-Retardant chemicals.

We prefer natural, biodegradable fibres including cotton and pure British wool as well as 100% recyclable manmade polyester, all of which are Stockholm Convention compliant, offering superior comfort and a safer sleeping environment, better for you and the planet.

Our range of natural fabrics including our very own Cottonsafe® organic cotton and British wool blend mean that you can now have an entirely chemical and fire-retardant free futon mattress.

You can choose to have your Pocket Sprung Futon Mattresses finished with matching solid tufts, or soft tufts if you plan to use it for regular bed use. Get in touch with office team to discuss which option suits you.

If you’re planning on using your Pocket Sprung Futon Mattress for regular bed use we recommend purchasing one of our chemical free, bamboo mattress protectors, ensuring the longevity and protection of your futon mattress night after night. 

NB: futon mattresses finished in the Tweed, Beach Hut or Owls fabric will come with a contrast fabric on the sides and underside, get in touch for more information.
